A modern Lebanese restaurant & lounge that provides traditional food in a contemporary setup at the centre of the famous Abu Dhabi corniche, Derwandi is the result of merging the flavours of 1970s Beirut, with the setting of its modern urban suburbs. Our breakfast, lunch, afternoon and dinner menus, combined with our Shisha and lounge, have made us a most desirable destination for the capital’s visitors.
Our name is a tribute to the 70s Lebanese TV show El Denye Hek, starring El-Derwandi. The character was mostly known for his love of life, good food and admirable company. El-Derwandi was characterized by his shisha, his humour and his favourite stories that he used to recount again and again as he spent his days seated in a small café. Today, Derwandi unites the best aspects of this TV icon with a love for Lebanese food and a passion for sharing it all with the Abu Dhabi community, in the center of the city, the Corniche.
